Sarahs & Matts beautiful barn wedding in Brighton

Sarah and Matt met through a mutual friend. Sarah was new to Hove and Matt was going to show her around. It ended up being a date, leading to a proposal and a marriage. How exciting! The proposal came when they went on holiday to Thailand last October. They drank champagne on a deserted beach at Shark Bay in Ko Tao watching the sunset, Matt got down on one knee and popped the question! So onto the big day…

Sarah wore the most beautiful dress from Leonie Claire in Brighton called Mia Mia Clematis. I adore the heavy lace details and she accessorised it with a bespoke hair piece by Rocks for frocks. http://www.rocksforfrocks.co.uk/I’ve got to say I think she is one of the most beautiful brides I’ve seen and she certainly made creating images very easy!

The bridesmaids wore beautiful beige tea style dresses from H&M that were accessorised with vintage lace add on’s to give that extra bit of glam for the occasion. Retro waves and beautiful simple red lips for hair and makeup by Donna Clitheroe finished the look off.

The wedding car and vintage route master red bus for the wedding guests was a great touch. We drove down to the beach huts at Brighton sea front to get some shots in the sunshine and then went up to Devils Dike!

Both sets of families and friends helped a lot with the styling of the wedding. Sarahs wonderful Mother made the bunting and her father made the most amazing Mrs & Mrs sign. The rental costs for these from companies can start at £250.00 so I think making them could be a real deal. Sarah collected the glass jam jars to light the venue, and then her Mum and Mother-in-law tied clay hearts around them, and stuck on the lace. The lace is vintage, and came from Sarah’s great nana who was awedding dress designer. Her Aunty made all of the clay hearts, and the hessian favor bags. Her brother Jonny made the biscuits in the favor bags. The flowers are from Kate Langdale Brighton.

The Pangdean venue was a great find and the food was unbelievable. I sampled one of the best vegetarian nut roasts I have ever tasted! The tables were named after football payers due to Matt’s love of football. During the speeches the guests were treated to an amazing performance from Brighton’s own Singing Waiters! All the guests really got into thhe spirit of things and there were also performances from Sarah’s brother Jonny who had written them a song.
